Abstract

This condensation deals with system elements, information needs of highway user, principal factors underlying the reception and use of needed information, principal factors of transmission, proposed information system and implications for present practice. The appendixes concern task analysis details, analytical determination of sign brightness blockage of signs by trucks and a survey of possible aiding techniques.
