Abstract

A louvered signs was tested in comparison with a standard sign. While the anticipated reduction of wind pressure of about 50% was obtained for normal wind loads, the transverse wind load was about equal to that of normal wind loads, Results indicate that general application does not appear practical, because of the increased manufacturing costs of such signs.
