Abstract

The research and development of transport telematics in Finland is currently organized through the TETRA programme (Finnish national research and development programme on transport telematics infrastructure 1998 - 2000). The main objective of the programme is to implement a multimodal transport information system. The overall structure of the information system is described in Finnish national transport telematics system architecture. There are several projects at the TETRA programme that are currently building different parts of the information system. In addition standard interfaces are specified to allow interoperability between the systems. For the covering abstract see ITRD E114174.
