Abstract

The study has led to the design of a new loop type, the "symmetripole", which combines the best features of other loops and was found to be the most satisfactory all- purpose configuration. The effects of changes in its width, length and proximity to buried reinforcement have been extensively studied.Simple and effective instrumentation has been developed to aid the installation of the symmetripole loop.
