Abstract

The experiment summarized in this paper was designed to establish a low cost reliable laboratory technique for the evaluation of highway guide signs and to resolve differences in previous laboratory studies with regard to diagrammatic guide signs. These two objectives were accomplished. The base findings of two earlier studies reported in Highway Research Record No. 414 (See B 2463) were replicated, indicating a high reliability of the data.
