Abstract

The subjective judgment of 18 lighting constructions and the measurement of quality criteria under dry as well as under raining conditions shows that the lighting installation has in raining conditions no worse illumination quality, if under dry conditions the average luminance is at least 2 cd/m and the installed current is more than 80 lm/m, Glare, luminance and uniformity are taken into account in the study if the CIE recommendations can be ut in the planning and evaluation of the roads in Switzerland.
