Abstract

The survival and recovery of emergency patients directly depend on how fast qualified aid is applied. We can state that 5 minutes after a trauma 85% of emergency patients are still alive, then the number of survivors decreases until after 25 minutes 40% of the patients die if they do not receive qualified help. Biological laws which decide on life and death in emergency cases are equal for all people in this world. Therefore not only life-saving measures, but also the training of medical and paramedical staff should be orientated towards uniform standards. In this field, however, much remains to be done.
