Abstract
"Self protection" of private car passengers depends on a stiff car passenger frame with offshored deformation zone combined with backing systems. Within this field modern technology and especially application of computers had realised great strides in last years. Passive safety systems for lorries are more difficult. For motorcyclists besides the use of crash helmets and special clothing the construction of kneebars can decrease injury severity.
