Abstract
Work on drinking and driving in Germany has been carried out over several years, leading to the establishment of a project by the German Office for Roads (BASt) on courses for susceptible drivers. In this project the idea of re-educating alcohol susceptible drivers was examined. The investigation comprised comparing 1500 of these drivers against a control group, and evaluating the effect of three courses of re-training. This resulted in 1987 in the introduction of compulsory reschooling of alcohol susceptible learner drivers. The french title of this paper is `Réhabilitation des conducteurs sous l'influence d'alcool'. The english title of this papers is `The rehabilitation of alcohol susceptible drivers'.
