Abstract

For a long time, the national economic thinking has failed to take appropriately into consideration those social costs which confront us today in the form of a serious threat to man's natural and social environment. This paper intends to show that, in a secure cause- effect relationship, the external costs of vehicle traffic can be successfully calculated for a series of damage areas within acceptable error limits.
