Abstract

Statistical data of traffic fatalities in the USA and the Netherlands are studied. The traffic death rate is considered in relation to the population death rate. The mile-age death rates are compared. It is shown that it is not possible to compare the statistical data although by combining the various possible ways of making comparisons it is tentatively suggested that there is a slight advantage on the American side.
