Abstract
This guide provides advice and information on the fitment and use of digital tachographs. It includes the new duties of freight operators and explains that in the UK existing vehicles need not be retrofitted with digital tachographs but that new vehicles must be fitted from the beginning of May 2006. The Freight Transport Association digital tachograph action plan, in-use advice, and a section on how the Freight Transport Association can help are provided.
