Abstract

Mindful of the quality of life in its region, the "Communaute Urbaine De Lille" in association with TRACTEBEL has developed a tool called "IMPACT", able to quantify the impact of the terrestrian transport activities on the environment. IMPACT is fully integrated into EMME/2, a transport planning package. It calculates the emissions of the main atmospheric pollutants, and their diffusion in the air. IMPACT also estimates the immissions of noise in db(A). (A)
