Abstract

At the ages 70 to 75 some functional abilities usually decline markedly. One is the psychomotoric speed taht usually starts to go down early in adult life. The other is the quality and quantity of the muscle function. This leads to considerable problems in activities of daily living functions outside home. One is that the average walking speed is lower than that recommended as the norm for pedestrians at signal controlled junctions.
