TRIP GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION ARE INCORPORATED WITHIN A FRAMEWORK WHICH ALLOWS FOR ELASTIC TRIP FREQUENCIES AND EXPENDITURES. HIGHLY DISAGGREGATED DATA FROM A CATEGORY ANALYSIS MODEL IS USED IN THE DISTRIBUTION PHASE, TOGETHER WITH ORIGIN-SPECIFIC COST-DECAY PARAMETERS. ACCESSIBILITY MEASURES ESTIMATED BY THE DISTRIBUTION MODEL ARE USED TO ESTIMATE, BY MULTIPLE REGRESSION, THE TRIP EXPENDITURES FOR EACH ORIGIN ZONE.
