Discriminative effects of morphine in pigeon.

Abstract

Pigeons were trained to discriminate between the effects of morphine (6mg/kg) and saline injected i.m. 45 minutes prior to training in a box equipped with two response keys which were mounted left and right on the front panel. The discriminable effects of morphine in the pigeon are quantitatively to the results obtained in animals.
