Abstract

There is a recent development of establishing OD matrices and route choice on the basis of roadside interviews and traffic count. Ideally, no additional assumptions about the trip pattern should be made; but, this can only be realised using an extensive counting and interviewing program. Attention should be paid to some of the factors which complicate the determination of route choice information and OD matrices from such surveys.
