Abstract

"Seramble" is a type of control which separates pedestrian and vehicular conflicts by providing a completely separate pedestrian interval for movement across the intersection in any direction. The object of the control is the reduction of conflicts which in itself is in the direction of efficiency, providing other more efficient operations do not have to be sacrificed.
