Abstract

The four types of material that must be disposed of from construction projects are: trees, stumps, and other vegetation; concrete pavement, curbs, sidewalks and foundations; earth excavation; and junk and debris. The difficulties associated with various methods of disposal-salvage, reuse, dumping or filling- are considered. Hauling distance is cited as a primary problem.
