Abstract

The approaches to the trip-chain concept developed so far are basically atemporal and aspatial. This paper presents some preliminary results of an effort directed toward the incorporation of a distance parameter into the trip-chain model. The first results indicate a whole-day path interpretation as an aid to the understanding of both the trip frequency and the spatial pattern of travel.
