Abstract

The purpose of the present research was: a) to investigate whether accommodation alone provides for the estimation of the distance of objects, b) to determine how distance perception improves the successive addition of retinal-image size, binocular disparity, and convergence or all these three cues simultaneously, and c) to study the similarity between these reduced-cue, conditions and a full-cue condition.
