Abstract

Land use and transportation studies will very often make use of distribution models, also called gravity models. The unknown parameters of such models have to be estimated and tested: the calibration. This paper will concentrate on several calibration methods, as far as the single constrained distribution model is concerned, especially the method of maximum likelihood and the method of least squares.
