Abstract

The DRIVE & IVHS programmes are developing standards, software and hardware applications for the collection, coding and ultimately the distribution of dynamic road and weather information. AA Roadwatch is Europe's largest traffic information broadcasting unit, utilising the latest technology and media for distribution to the end user. This paper looks at the services provided by AA Roadwatch and investigates the way forward; what do the public want? Does the current or planned technology provide satisfactory user friendly solutions? (A)
