Abstract

A well known problem in the economics of transport is to find the shortest itinerary between origin and destination. However, beside the shortest way there can be more considerations which cause extra dimensions to this problem. This study gives a theoretical approximation of the transport problem in which more aims play a role. Some examples of the relevance of plural aims are given and a cipher model is discussed by which problems with plural aims can be analysed.
