Abstract

The Draft-Accessibility Standards is the result of a year of research and analysis into problem facing handicapped citizens and the lack of requirements for handicapped persons in public buildings. Examples are given for space requirements for manoeuvring wheelchairs, and improving site development, walks and sidewalks, surface texture, street crossings, parking places and curbs.
