Abstract

The use of a digital computer in the extraction of the vehicle drag coefficients, both rolling resistance and aerodynamic, from the measured velocity against time data of the deceleration test is mentioned. The technique described may be used to process the results of a deceleration test carries out on a windy day, provided that the wind speed is low and at a small angle only to the head-on direction of the vehicle.
