Abstract

The present study was undertaken in order to gather statistical evidence relating to alcohol in traffic accidents. We indicated costs in terms of human lives lost, nonfatal injuries incurred and property damage sustained in motor vehicle accidents involving alcohol. The accident information was tabulated and cross-tabulated for the purposes of isolating drinking driver involvement in motor vehicle accidents. Results are by no means conclusive, they are suggestive.
