Abstract

Alcohol is the main contributing factor in 42% of all road crash fatalities and more than 50% in single vehicle crash fatalities on country roads. There is definite evidence that there has been a significant change in community attitudes towards drinking and driving. Today, to drink and drive is not socially acceptable to the majority of the public.
