Driver aids and perception.

Abstract

Two aids are being considered to supply drivers with modified visual information. These are a means of causing a reduction in speeds at particular hazards by the use of road markings which affect speed perception and a method of signalling the severity of braking to following drivers using a system of multi brake lights.
