Abstract

The intent of the project was to conduct a series of analyses oriented toward providing information useful to operating highway safety agencies in the planning and conducting of their works as it relates to Driver Medical and Alcohol Problems. A secondary goal was to examine the effect that certain programs or law might have on highway safety. A major effort under this project was to examine the effect that the initial Driver Medical Evaluation Process has on the driving performance of persons in that program.
