Abstract

A comprehensive home interview survey was conducted in the Chicago area to determine motorist attitudes towards driving information. Questions were analyzed to determine the potential of radio traffic reports, their effect on diversion and the importance of various types of information. Drivers indicated that they diverted to alternate routes because of radio traffic reports.
