Abstract

The efforts in this study are aimed at obtaining a measure of the exposure which a class of drivers experiences relative to other similar classes. These driver classes have been identified by age group and sex. A measure of relative exposure has been estimated for each of the classes under varying environmental conditions. The accident involved driver classes (age-sex) are divided in two groups: the responsible and the not responsible. By analysing the not responsible group a measure of relative exposure is obtained while the analysis of the responsible group yielded an indicative measure of the risk associated with each driver class.
