Abstract
Driver improvement is considered in Switzerland as a specific educational manner for drivers who have become conspicuous (with or without an accident). The measure has been introduced to correct lacks of driving capability. Usually driver improvement is connected with driver licence with- drawal and supplements the court's sentence. As a rule it is compulsory and is meant not only to punish but also to help.
