Driver information systems update (2004-2006).

This issue of Current Topics includes over 65 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on systems for information on route and parking guidance, traffic conditions, weather warnings etc which can be made available to drivers from the roadside, from within the car or via telecommunications systems. Tests and trials, field studies, simulations and case studies covering the application of such systems in the UK, Europe, USA, Japan and other countries are included. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 2004 and 2006. Much of the relevant English language published literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) database.
