Abstract

This paper describes a psychological system of assessment and improvement of drivers with alcohol offences in Germany. This includes quality assurance and evaluation procedures. The central point of the psychological assessment is a personal interview to determine the status of the problem and whether the driver still presents a risk. It is considered that the system has contributed to a decrease in alcohol-related offences and accidents in Germany. For the covering abstract see ITRD E113725 (C 22328 CD-ROM).
