Abstract
Details of some devices under investigation in the U.K., both for use on vehicles and in the environment are given. Some suggestions as to areas in which research might be undertaken to give profitable results are made. Devices are a.o. radar and related systems, electronic speed control, head-up display speedometer, station keeping indicator, automatic headlight dimming system, rumble strips, road layout and lighting.
