Abstract

This report is divided into eight chapters: 1) the problem of Evaluating Driving 2) The Chicago study, 3) The Minnesota study 4) Fatability and reliability Estimates of the Semantic Differential for Drivers 5) Idiographic Versus Nomothetic Bipolar Adjectives on the Semantic Differential 6) A Study of Industrial Versus Non- Industrial Drivers 7) Cross Validation of Semantic Differential Items 8) Discussion. The present study attempts to join the interests of meaning in driving a motor vehicle with psychological measurement in an effort to gain yet another perspective on the traffic accident problem.
