Abstract

Two effects of driving time are examined in two experiments, both involving two- hour drivers. Experiment I used a fully instrumented vehicle on a closed course under nighttime conditions. Experiment 2 used an interactive driving simulator. Effects of driving time were studied under different circumstances. Differences between the experiments are examined as possible explanations for differences in results.
