Driving records of persons with selected chronic diseases.

Abstract

Driving records of 266 diabetics under treatment and 100 person who had been hospitalised with cardiovascular illness were compared with 687, 228 driving records of persons living in the same general driving environment. The diabetics had a statistically higher accident rate than the comparable population while the cardiovascular group has similar accident rate. Both groups has statistically higher violation rates than the population.
