Abstract

The driving research program at the Stevens Institute is described. Section 1 deals with major facilities available as an auto simulator, instrumented vehicles and psychology laboratories. Section II deals with information processing, psychological variables, anxiety and information processing and the perception of hazardless. Section III derives general principles from specific empirical findings. Section 4 gives a description of future plans.
