Abstract

The RAC Report on Motoring is an annual piece of in-depth research on the views of UK motorists. The 2007 report marks the nineteenth year of its publication. For this year's report, we have explored the really key issues facing drivers today - congestion, the environment, taxation – but we have also focused on the one issue that Britain's drivers have said is utmost in their minds - safety. The report is based on face to face interviews with more than 2,000 regular drivers, giving us the opportunity to truly explore their opinions and feelings towards driving safety in the 21st century. And as in previous years, the 2007 report provides a framework for debate, with a number of key calls to action emerging from the research. (Author/publisher)
