Abstract

This report present the results of a driving simulation study to determine driver performance in the negotiation of 22 simulated urban intersections using an electronic route guidance system display to present routing information through the intersections. The results indicated that driver performance is influenced by information lead distance, but few environmental as well as age factors interact with the information lead distance to influence performance.
