Abstract

Asbridge and colleagues (http://dx.doi.org/10.1136/bmj.e536, see ST 20120287) proved that acute consumption of cannabis is an independent risk factor for a motor vehicle collision and seems to affect the severity of a crash. Most important to practitioners, however, are the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) guidelines on cannabis use.
