Abstract

This book presents the ways in which psycho pharmacologists use psychoactive drugs in the study of human behaviour. Among the topics covered are the effects of drugs on sleep, wakefulness, learning and memory; individual differences in drug responses; and the use of drugs and other research tools in the exploration of the human brain and human behaviour. The book ends with a discussion on common drug problems with emphasis on those associated with alcohol use and driving.
