Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the occurrence of drugs and narcotics in violators of the Danish Road Traffic Act, and to make a comparison to a similar investigation in another Scandinavian country. The study has shown that especially the benzodiazepines, together with the illicit drugs, seem to make a threat to traffic safety. For two countries very much alike, namely Norway and Denmark, this study has shown a remarkable difference in the number of samples analysed and the results found. (Author/publisher).
