The present study aims at 1) the construction of a causalmodel of drunken driving and 2) an evaluation of the 1975campaign against drunken driving, performed by the Swe-dish Road Safety office. For the causal model a number ofvariables supposedly related to drunken driving veere se-lected.The campaign was evaluated by means of measuringa number of variables before and after the campaign; be-haviour, knowledge, perception of risks, etc. veere thusgauged through surveys. No substantial effects of the cam-paign was registered.
