Abstract

The need for high-speed moving walkway to transport large numbers of passengers at speeds of 10 mph for a distance of 1 mile is discussed. The disadvantages of various systems that have been proposed are discussed. The principles of the Dunlop S-type Speedaway and the ways in which this design overcomes the disadvantages of earlier proposals are described.
