Abstract

One aspect of traffic death is the length of time the victim survives, that is the time elapsing from the moment of the accident until death. In this paper a detailed analysis is reported of the time of survival for 2081 victims of fatal accidents in Brisbane between 1945- 1965, end for 775 deaths in Adelaide between 1959 end 1965. Various associated factors which may influence the length of time the victim survives, are discussed.
