Abstract

Productive losses to farming systems adjacent to unsealed roads, caused by road dust emissions, are presently excluded for the economic appraisal of roading projects. This paper reports the findings of a study of the effects of road dust on farming systems and outlines the development and use of a computer simulation model which may be used for the assessment of road dust costs.
