Abstract

This report is the fourth in a series dealing with DWI system improvements. The first dealt with enforcement issues -- problems in the detection and apprehension of hard core drinking drivers; the second dealt with the prosecution of these offenders; and the third with their adjudication and sanctioning. The current report examines ways to improve the monitoring of these offenders. It would not have been possible without the assistance and participation of probation and parole officers across the United States. (Author/publisher)
